Longplayer Assembly converged 24-leading thinkers in their field in a non-stop 12-hour conversation relay that took place on Saturday 26 September, 10:00 – 22:00 BST, presented live, online.
Longplayer is a continuous piece of music conceived and composed by Jem Finer and commissioned by Artangel that began playing at the turn of the millennium, with a duration of 1000 years.
'Longplayer conversations' have taken place at various iterations since the release of Longplayer, with variations in speakers, topics, and formats.
Longplayer Assembly marked the twentieth-anniversary of Longplayer and was presented in association with London Review of Books with the support of Trinity Buoy Wharf Trust.
