Interview with Rohit Chawla, shot at the STIR gallery
Rohit Chawla is a self taught Indian photographer who is renowned for his politically charged portraiture.
Chawla created a series of images and co-produced a film as part of 'Hair and Her,' which speaks to the disturbing reality of hair apartheid.
These works were presented at the Art Alive gallery booth at India Art Fair 2023, and would eventually come to be the linchpin for the Cannes Golden Lion-winning campaign 'Untangling the Politics of Hair,' produced by FCB India for STIR.
