BOEING 707 TOUCH&GO WITH AMAZING SOUND + AN12 DEPARTURE (4K)
This Boeing 707 performed several Touch&Goes at Geilenkirchen last week. It` s crazy to see these classic Boeing 707´s operating almost daily out of an airport in germany in 2024. These Awacs planes are based at Geilenkirchen and they often do touch and go training flights to train new pilots. The characteristic smoke trail of the classic jetliner looks quite amazing in the head on perspective. Also note the massive radar on the top of the plane which allows the crew to observe the ground from high flightlevels.
I didn` t show up at the airport for the B707. An AN12 was expected to arrive from Athen and that` s why I was there. You can the see the AN12 right after the B707 clip. I always wanted to film this classic propeller plane from the "behind - the runway" - perspective and I finally did it. It was quite a smoker - parade last week in geilenkirchen. Seeing an AN12 and a B707 from the 1960`s at the same airport with a few minutes in 2024 is quite crazy. I always enjoy filming at this airport mainly because I enjoy the classic sound of the classic B707`s.
