One of my favorites for sure Christian rock bands of all times, and probably bands of all time is project 86.
I do not know how many, likely, years of time I have spent listening 2 The Creation of musical magic, powerful words, and an art that transcends the muck and mire of everyday life In the music of project 86.
Andrew Schab Is one of the most alive humans on this planet and he has yet to stop Chasing Life, encouraging, challenging others to chase can I pursue a freedom from within that is empowered by connecting, wrestling, and arguing with a Divine God.
Someday, maybe, I'll be able to write words that can convey the hope and peace this man is fighting for in himself and for others.
A huge part of that is the musical art, 86ing the machines and institutions of “popular” and saying yes to the what awakens him on the inside and continues to create from that space.
Then mix that with other incredibly talented musicians and a sound that can be created from no one else is what emerges.
I love the story that each album conveys but it's even a bigger story than that...
As album after album was released in the project 86 legacy, there was story carried from songs In prior albums to future albums, Stories in their music videos carried over into music videos from the next albums,
A journaling, telling of a life coming from one place and journeying to the next runs through the whole discography
It humbles and encourages me to strive to be a better man, and I'm sure that it does the same for thousands of others.
What I think it shows us all is that inside of you, there is the ability, responsibility to create and inspire others, even if only a handful.
It is the Kingdom of Heaven, the range of God's effective will, coming out from your hands, feet, thoughts, words, and entire being.
86 the existing projects, cause a ruckus and ignite the same in a few others.
