#How to track route with using object track command and HSRP
In order to track any route with using object track command you can use following commands-
Go to config mode of the router -
object 20 ip route 8.8.8.8 255.255.255.255 reachability
delay up 5 down 6
exit
Note - you can use any of the object number and make sure before track any route make sure that route must be available in router's routing table
How to call object track number in HSRP configuration to decrement in priority -
Go to interface mode of the router -
int g2/0
standby 2 track 20 decrement 40
exit
for verification you can use the following commands -
#show track (for object track)
#show run | section track
#show standby all
#show standby brief
