The Taliban have launched a major offensive in Afghanistan and now control 2/3 of the country. As of yesterday the Taliban have captured Afghanistan second largest city kandahar. The Taliban which is an Islamic fundamentalist group wants Afghanistan to be an Islamic theocracy. Where human rights are out the window. This why secularism is important not only in western countries but throughout the world.
