PhonePe: Pay LIC of India Policy Premium using Credit/Debit Card
In this video I talk about how you can pay your Life Insurance Corporation of India's Policy Premium using your credit or debit card and PhonePe app.
Follow these steps in order to do so:
1. Open PhonePe app on your mobile/tablet device and then click on LIC/Insurance.
2. On the immediate next screen which displays a list of insurance companies, tap on Life Insurance Corporation of India.
3. Enter your policy number and an active email address on the next screen. On this email address only your premium payment receipt will be sent, so make sure that it is valid and active.
4. On the next screen, you will be able to see following details:
Customer/Policyholder name
Policy Number
Due date for premium payment
Total amount due
Match all the details with the policy document/past premium receipts and make sure that everything is correct.
5. Now under credit/debit card tab, enter following details:
Your 16 digit credit/debit card number.
Card expiry date in MM/YY format that is printed on your card
3 digit CVV/CVC code that is printed on the back of your card
When you click on Pay button, you will be redirected to a secure transaction authorisation page. Here either you need to enter the One Time Password (OTP) which your bank will send to your registered mobile number or you need to enter your verified by VISA/MasterCard Securecode password.
If the entered OTP/password is correct, your transaction will be authorised by the bank and your bank will send the money to PhonePe, which in turn will deposit the money in your insurance company's account.
