This 13 year old MacBook pro is usable in 2024, well... Maybe not this PARTICULAR MacBook pro... Not yet. The keyboard was my fault and I did take the L and repair it, but the trackpad... It now doesn't click at all and you must enable tap to click in order to use it at all, and three finger drag to be able to move things around the screen. The trackpad broke on its own. It's in sketchy working condition as it is with parts randomly working and temporarily not functioning.
Whoever used this before me definitely was rough on it, and they used it a lot. Nearly 2,000 battery cycles is very impressive and indicates heavy use for a very long period of time. My nearly four year old M1 MacBook pro has under 200 cycle, and this MacBook with nearly 2,000 is close to 4 times older.
