The category tabs in Gmail help to categorise your emails. There are different category tabs like Primary, Social, Promotions, Updates, and Forums. If you are don’t want to see emails in different category tabs than you disable it.
It is very easy to remove the categories tab in Gmail.
1. Open your web browser, go to Gmail.
2. Click on the Sign in button.
3. Type your email, and click on the Next button.
4. Enter your Google accounts password, and click on the Next button.
5. In Gmail, click on the Settings gear icon at the top-right.
6. From the drop-down list, click on the See all settings button.
7. On the right-side panel of Settings, click on the Inbox tab.
8. In the Categories section, uncheck the category names.
9. Scroll down the page, and click on the Save Changes button.
10. Now, you will not see the Categories tab on the right-side panel.
11. All your emails now will show in the Index tab without any other categories tabs.
