What is Expansion? – This video is all about what is expansion. An expander is a plug in that simply put, does the opposite of compression. They are designed to make the loudest parts of the audio louder or the quiet parts of the audio quieter. This increases the dynamic range of the audio and can be used to add energy or attack.
