This is SO MUCH more than just a lamp to me
This lamp is a memory I can keep forever. An old Mac mini and a ring made out of a counterfeit Morgan silver dollar are two features of this lamp that are way more than just some random trinkets I decided to use for embellishment. They mean something and I’m going to tell you all about it as we go through this build.

Repurposing old stuff to make something entirely different takes a little creative thinking, but with the right tools you can make some really cool stuff. This lamp was made using 3D printed parts, some leftover wood scraps from another project, an old Mac mini, and a few other odds and ends that I had left from some previous projects.
But this is definitely one of those projects that is more valuable than the sum of its parts. I'll show you how you can make something similar in this video. I'll show how I created the 3d printed parts and fit the "very important to me" components into it. I'll cover the wiring, the assembly, the woodworking, and the programming required to make it all come together.
