Photographing Landscapes - Episode 2: Seascapes
In this short series of landscape photography tutorials, I cover how to photograph specific landscape photography scenes. In this episode, I give some tips on how to photograph coastal scenes and seascapes.
Coastal photography is one of my favourite genres of photography, and also one of the most exciting, and in this video I try and provide a little insight into my own approach to photographing these landscapes. I talk about some specific considerations to take when photographing seascapes, including beaches, rocky shorelines and waves. I give some photography tips on how to set exposure and camera settings, as well as equipment, and talk about my use of long exposures and ND filters. I also provide advice on how to plan your coastal and seascape photography around time of day and tides.
