Clear Example of Jaccard Similarity // Visual Explanation of What is the Jaccard Index?
See a clear example of Jaccard similarity, also called the Jaccard index, in this tutorial video. I begin by demonstrating a visual example with a grocery shopping trip and sharing the definition of Jaccard similarity. We see the Jaccard similarity formula and use it to compute the Jaccard index between our two sets: the grocery list vs the grocery purchases. Then we explore two other example applications.
