Historic Run: Ingebrigtsen Sets 3000m WR
Jakob Ingebrigtsen of Norway shattered the world record in the 3000m at the Silesia Diamond League, clocking an incredible 7:17.55 to secure victory. Berihu Aregawi of Ethiopia finished second, setting a new national record and personal best with a time of 7:21.28. Fellow Ethiopian Yomif Kejelcha claimed third place, crossing the line in 7:28.44. The race saw remarkable performances, including a national record and personal best for Canada’s Mohammed Ahmed, who finished sixth with a time of 7:31.96. Adriaan Wildschutt of South Africa also set a national record and personal best, finishing eighth in 7:32.99.
