OPENING UP TO THE INTUITIVE & AUTOMATIC PROCESS IN ART & CREATIVITY (TO ACCESS MORE FEELING STATES)
In this Artist Journals VLOG No. 9 I was cleaning the studio early this morning and I thought I would challenge myself to give voice to the idea and thoughts and feelings that were arising in the moment.
The main question that arose and something I feel compelled to speak into more and more, is "WHERE IS ABSTRACTION COMING FROM?"
As a person who has always been very ABSTRACT, and a LOVER of ABSTRACT ART from an early age, and someone who has been making ART consistently over the last decade, well I feel like I will give this one a whirl here in this video.
I have to say one thing about SEEING for ME personally, its more about FEELING, SENDING and EMOTING.
I find INTUITION to be hanging out in-between all these spaces and my energetic and shamanic practices have really opened me wider to the sensory experiences, the heart and spirit.
This is where it lives for me. Of course, this is just how I relate to it, and how i SEE it. I wanted to explain how I have been journeying to be here now, and to start bridging all the worlds together in order to create my own offerings and speak and teach more about it all.
Of course there are many ways to LOOK at something....
So HOW DO YOU SEE IT? Do things relate? Do things feel foreign? Do you have a different idea of it all together?
