This drum-tec Protection Dot is a 3 mm thick bass drum patch especially made for mesh heads. It will be placed at the beater impact spot. First, we find out where the beaters hit the mesh head and mark it with sticky tape. A long piece of tape will be used as a straight indicator to apply the dot precisely.
We recommend masking tape. The exact mid gets marked with a pen. As the dot has the length of 15cm, 2 other markers are set at 7,5cm from the middle on each side. Now we know where to place the dot and can attach it as accurate as possible. The material is really sticky. Make sure the tape is not underneath the dot.
The dot is flexible and can be hit with any beater head. The mesh head is protected and the rebound better than before. This dot is perfect in addition to pricey 2 ply mesh heads, as it makes them nearly unbreakable.
