Claudia Garcia came to Denver Health's Bariatric Surgery Center for laparoscopic roux en y gastric bypass weight-loss surgery on the recommendation of her primary care doctor. She lost 85 pounds in a year after her surgery. Garcia saw a change in her physical appearance, her level of energy and her mental health.
