Provides huge Plugin Support like maven, selenium with Jenkins.
Use of jenkins.
To run software development processes like running test and building software and packaging it in jar or zip file.
Continuous Integration. It is a Software development practice where members of a team integrate, build and test their code frequently in a development environment.
To trigger jobs automatically using chron expression or on commit in git.
Other CI tools are bamboo, teamcity, buddy etc but Jenkins is the most common and matured tool among others.
