8. Jenkins distributed architecture
Jenkins distributed architecture: Problem with using one Jenkins server is that suppose you have a huge project to build on regular basis. So at that time one jenkins server can't simply handle the load.
To address this shortcoming of single Jenkins server, jenkins distributed architecture was introduced.
Architecture consist of a Jenkins master and multiple slave. Your main Jenkins server is the master.
Jenkins master is used for scheduling build jobs. It also dispatches builds to the slaves for execution and monitors the slaves/agents and distributes the loads to the slaves.
Slaves/agent performs the jobs as told by the master.
Whenever you want to connect master with slaves we need a jnlp connection between them and jdk/java must be installed in the slave machines.
Install one more ubuntu instance on aws which we can use as slave.
Now, you have become familiar with the jenkins dashboard.
