Vero Sandler on Creating Opportunities and Freeride's Future - Here. There. Everywhere. S3, Ep. 4
Vero Sandler began her career racing downhill and reached the World Cup level, but quickly realized that while she loved riding, racing was ruining the experience of riding her bike. Leaving the race track behind and falling in love with building jumps, turns, and practicing repetitiously on sections of trail, allowed her to progress her skills fast and emerge as a leader in freeride mountain biking.
From collaborations with the Revolution Bike Park, to progressive big air events like “The Nines” and Darkfest, Vero has been a leader in women’s freeride blowing all expectations out of the water and setting the stage for future generations.
Vero had a dream, built a plan, and then went out and made it happen. She carved a space for herself to flourish as an athlete, and by doing so, she has dug in the stepping stones for the future of freeride - not just for herself, but for all those women who want a future in freeride mountain biking.
