Zack Snyder Reveals Why He Didn't Cast Grant Gustin as 'The Flash'
In a new interview with the New York Daily News, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder revealed that he never considered using actor Grant Gustin as The Flash. Many were surprised when Gustin, who plays the superhero on the small screen was not cast to portray him on the big screen. Snyder alluded that the tone of The CW's The Flash simply didn't match what he wants to do with Justice League. Ultimately, Snyder went with 'Perks of Being a Wallflower' actor Ezra Miller. Miller's whose take on Barry Allen will appear as a cameo-like role in Batman V Superman is a bit darker. The director added, "I just don't think Gustin was a good fit I’m very strict with this universe and I just don’t see a version where...that tone is a part of our world.”
