Learning the ropes 🚁 |
Only do this if you’re a trained professional. Danish Eskadrille 724, a Royal Danish Air Force helicopter squadron, are practising disembarking from Fennec helicopters using a technique known as fast-roping.
Fast-roping enables troops to deploy in places where helicopters can’t land. Troops fasten a rope to the helicopter and use it to slide down to the ground. It can be particularly dangerous as they have no other support measures, and that’s why conducting training exercises like this one are vital.
