Introduction
1.1 Overview of the B.Sc. Nursing Course
The Colleges of Nursing included in this Prospectus offer B.Sc. Nursing Degree Program of 4 year
duration as specified by Kerala University of Health Sciences, (KUHS), approved by Indian Nursing
Council &Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council .
1.2 The Private Nursing College Management Association in Kerala has decided to introduce a separate
selection procedure for admission of candidates in the Management Quota to the B.Sc. Nursing
course as per the direction of the Honorable Supreme Court of India in its judgments dated31st October
2002 , dated 14th August 2003 and 4th January 2007.
1.3 This prospectus contains the rules and regulations for selection and admission to the seats to be filled
by the Managements of Self- Financing Colleges of Nursing for the year 2023-2024.
1.4 This prospectus is subject to modification/addition/deletion as may be deemed necessary by the
Association and subject to the Judgments of Honorable Courts of law.
Eligibility for Admission
3.1 Academic:
(i) Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary
Education of Kerala or equivalent examinations recognized by any of the Universities in the State of
Kerala with Aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and 50% marks in English in
second Year only are eligible for admission.
(ii) Relaxation in marks:-
(a) Candidates belonging to SEBC (Socially and Educationally Backward Classes) in the State of Kerala
with total annual family income up to Rs.6 lakhs will have relaxation of 5% marks. The Scheduled
Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates in the state of Kerala need only a pass in the qualifying
examination.
(b) Those candidates claiming relaxation of marks shall produce necessary certificates from the authority
concerned. There will be no reservation of seats for SEBC and or SC/ST candidates under Management
quota.
Application Fee:
(i) The application fee will be Rs.1000/- for all candidates, payable through online by using
Credit/Debit/Internet Banking facility. Application submission will be completed only after
successful payment of Application fee through online.
Fee stipulated by the Fee Regulatory Committee/Govt. of Kerala is as follows:
Tuition fee – Rs. 73,025/-
Special fee – Rs. 23,300/- second year own wards Rs 19,300.00
Caution deposit - Rs. 10,000/- (Refundable)
Fee for NRI seats stipulated by the Fee Regulatory Committee/Govt. of Kerala is as follows:
Tuition fee – Rs. 95,000/-
Special fee – Rs. 23,300/- second year own wards Rs 19,300.00
Caution deposit - Rs. 10,000/- (Refundable)
