Principal Architect Umang Goswami of UA Design planned the Play House on a fairly compact piece of land. This house for three generations needed to feel more spacious than it could possibly be. Multiple members and generations also spelt the need for everybody’s privacy alongside spaces to greet and gather in.
In response, this house with a built-up area of 3,620 sq. ft., was conceived as a stack of shifting floor plates that enjoy playful chemistry with each other. The idea was to build a modern house that belonged, not an alien ship in its context.
