Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: "Così fan tutte" (cross-section)
In its 150th anniversary year, the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar staged a new production of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Così fan tutte" in the Belvedere Studio Theatre. The opera celebrated its premiere on 29 April 2022, directed by Michael Dissmeier. The stage and costumes were designed by Henriette Hübschmann. Soloists from the Department of Voice and Music Theatre sang, the university orchestra played under the artistic direction of Prof. Ekhart Wycik.
"A more beautiful certificate of distinction cannot be imagined for a conservatoire," wrote the "Thüringer Allgemeine" in its review on 3 May, and further: "This has wit, charm and an enormous amount of taste." On its YouTube channel, the university is now showing a cross-section of the opera production in two different casts.
