Until the age of 15, he has almost exclusively played works by Franz Liszt, says Valentin Magyar, who studies at the renowned Liszt Academy in Budapest. In 2017 he already won a 2nd prize and the special prize for the best interpretation of a Bartók piece at the 5th International “Béla Bartók” piano competition in Graz (Austria). Solo concerts took him all over Hungary, to Vienna and Belgrade.
The International FRANZ LISZT Piano Competition Weimar-Bayreuth is organised by the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar and the City of Bayreuth.
