Texas DEI Ban Already Making Waves in North Texas Schools
Texas public universities are beginning to adhere to the new state law that will take effect in January by preemptively dissolving their DEI offices. But the ban already has students at universities like UT Austin worried the law is a slippery slope to shutting down other university related programs. Anthropology Professor Mariela Nuñez-Janes is upset with the University of North Texas over the lack of communication with their decision to dissolve the office in October.
