Scratch-built RC Curtiss SBC-4 Helldiver
Another wonderful scratch-built flying electric radio control model by Graeme. Features a custom-made retractable undercarriage (see video window at the end) and good handling characteristics. About a year in the making, this one was well worth waiting for. Great job Graeme in building, finishing and nice scale-like flying as well. It was a joy to video this plane. Although one of the wheels collapsed upon landing, there appeared to be no damage, but needed closer inspection to be sure. We suspect that the locking mechanism gave way. Have a look at the detailed finishing on the 3d-printed radial engine (printed by Geoff) at the end - including plug leads and wiring loom. Congratulations on a job well done.
