Marines Conduct Night Time Aerial Ops At MHAFB
U.S. Marines with Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron (VMFAT) 501 perform night-time aerial operations at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho.
VMFAT-501 deployed to Mountain Home Air Force Base to train entry-level pilots to be proficient at close air-support and high-explosive ordnance drops to better support their future squadrons. VMFAT-501 is a subordinate unit of 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, the aviation element of II Marine Expeditionary Force.
