Grading in HDR with DaVinci Resolve - feat. ProRes RAW + Z CAM E2-F6
Grading in HDR isn't hard once you figure out how to setup Resolve. You'll need a monitor like an LG OLED to grade on, but that's the easy part. In this video l walk you through the settings and show how I grade in HDR for YouTube.
I've been grading in HDR for well over a year and enjoy it much more than regular old Rec.709. The colors are amazing and the range of luminance is liberating. The adoption of HDR-capable devices is increasing all the time, with many TVs and cell phones supporting it. You might not even realize that you already own an HDR device. YouTube will handle the SDR conversion for you so your video will look good no matter how someone watches it.
