EVFs from PortKeys, Zacuto, & Z CAM - an in-depth look
Electronic view finders are a great way to monitor. They provide a much more immersive experience that helps you compose shots. They never get washed out by the sun and are always bright enough. I used all three of these monitors for a period of time so I was familiar with their ups and downs. I personally own the PortKeys OEYE 3G and I use it almost every time I film. The Zacuto Kameleon Pro is a feature-rich and compact EVF, but is also quite expensive. The Z CAM EVF is the most affordable and has some very unique and valuable features like a proximity sensor and wireless video.
