Welcome to the first Base building tutorial for ARK survival evolved. This not a specific build, so has no specific instructions, it is however a certain type of base and goes into detail on how to build that type of base.
If you watched the stream video on this type of base building, there really is no need to watch this video, as it's basically the same thing only condensed.
This is buildable on OFFICIAL PVP.
I originally came up with this style of base on scorched earth when trying to farm metal and escape the heat without having to farm and build in adobe. The design relies on a large supply of beds to keep you from having to worry about food, water, or climate. Most of the beds should be hidden outside in sunken foundations. The rest of the design is based around compartmentalizing your crafting and loot into multiple small locations to spread out your loot, making it more difficult to raid all your loot at once. Combined with a ghetto design and multiple hiding places, your loot is safer than in a typical base.
This base design is best for solo pvpers or very small tribes not interested in holding many dinos. If you have played enough of ARK you know that there is no such thing as an unraidable base, this base design takes that into account and instead of trying to prevent being raided, it attempts to mitigate the damage from a raid.
If you are wondering my ARK credentials regarding base building and PvP, I have over 4000 hours on official PvP servers. I have played solo on many servers, I have been Alpha on many servers, I have been wiped and killed many times over, and wiped and killed many other players/tribes. I am very familiar with how the different segments of the player base act toward different styles of bases. This style is not immune to griefing, none are, but it has some advantages over some other builds (you can build close to metal and are often overlooked because your base looks like crap, even when raided many of your supplies are not found and raided and so you can recover and rebuild more quickly than some other base designs) It has some disadvantages as well (difficult to protect from an actual attack, due to nooks and crannies. Not viable for very much dino storage)
