Using mitre bond instant adhesive to piece together a copper inlaid shadow gap for a kitchen island.

Prior to these shots we had run the 6mm thick MDF strips through our edgebander to apply a brushed copper edgebanding neatly to the edge. Then we cut the strips on a mitre saw.

The edgeband is from Hranipex. It’s 0.8mm ABS plastic with a thin top layer of aluminium which has been brushed and copper coloured (to be honest I’m not even sure if it’s a real copper coating or just an effect on the aluminium, but it looks good!)
