Marines and Sailors from the Force Reconnaissance Platoon (FRP), 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) conduct combat shooting training at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan. During the training, the FRP Marines focused on shooting fundamentals to improve their speed and lethality when engaging close-in targets. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to conduct a variety of military operations as the primary crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
