This video shows another experimental setup to control an Elecraft K3S over the internet...This time for all modes ready to go for SSB, AM, FM and CW - using LV2 plugins(LAPTOP) to process all the RX and TX AUDIO for CW or VOICE...remotely connecting to the Raspberry PI via REALvnc, and receiving high fidelity full duplex audio over IP using ZITA-NJbridge(LAN)(or JACKTRIP for WAN)
The ELECRAFT K3's frequency, mode, filter bandwidth etc...is controlled from the VNC SESSION of the PI, where the PI is using a simple RAZpi APP called GRIG.

NOTE: this example is using a Raspberry PI 2b, without a monitor, so it is running headless; with a direct connection to ethernet(no wifi): https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/vi...
the only parts needed in addition to the pi itself, are the basic parts to make an audio derived cw & push to talk keying circuit that is used to key both the PTT and the CW jack of the RIG.

NOTE: this setup takes advantage of the Elecraft K3S's own USB SOUND CARD to route audio to and from the RIG...in addition to the K3S USB SOUND CARD, the PI's own analogue stereo sound card speaker output jack is used to activate 2 audio derived cw keying circuits that are attached to both the LEFT and RIGHT channel audio output of the PI ANALOGUE SOUND CARD OUTPUT. Left channel PI AUDIO output keys the CW JACK of the rig, and Right channel PI AUDIO output keys the PTT JACK of the rig. A tone output from an LV2 plugin called "INVADA TEST TONES" provides a 3.4 khz audio tone output at zero db which is used to send to the Raspberry PI over ZITA-NJBRIDGE audio over ip app. http://kokkinizita.linuxaudio.org/lin... designed for LAN
for audio over ip WAN see JACKRTRIP:
