"Fake It" performed by Seether, from the 2007 album "Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces."

More from Seether:

Seether's song "Fake It" talks about lying and feeling unsure about yourself. The words show that sometimes people act fake to fit in or hide their faults. The song asks if it's right to pretend and shows how it can hurt your self-esteem. The singer keeps saying "Fake it" to show how much pressure there is to act a certain way. Even though people might act fake, the song says it's better to be honest.

Seether is a rock band from South Africa that started in 1999 in Pretoria, Gauteng. At first, they called themselves Saron Gas until 2002 when they changed it to Seether. They did this to avoid confusion with a dangerous chemical called sarin gas. Shaun Morgan, who sings and plays guitar, has been with the band the longest. Bassist Dale Stewart joined not long after the band started, and drummer John Humphrey joined for their second album. Since 2018, Corey Lowery has been the band's second guitarist. Although other guitarists like Corey's brother Clint and Troy McLawhorn have played with the band, Shaun mostly records the guitar parts for their albums.
