9-A Evading a counterattack
If your opponent blocks one of your attacks, you are left at a disadvantage.
In this situation, many opponents will try to counterattack with a striking attack.
By using evade, you can avoid your opponent’s counterattack, and launch one of your own.
Generally, you should enter the evade command at the same time your opponent tries to counterattack.
9-B Attacking after evading
After you evade a counterattack, you have the advantage. Now, it’s your turn to go on the offensive.
To counterattack quickly, you can enter P+K+G while evading to perform an evade attack.
You can also use throws or more powerful striking attacks right after evading.
9-C Evading in the middle of a series
If you just keep guarding against your opponent’s combinations, you will soon find yourself at the edge of the ring.
Instead, you can block the first strike, then evade in the middle of the series.
This will allow you to counterattack quickly, before you are trapped at the edge of the ring.
