Poor Things (2023) - 'Finale' scene

This film has one of the most unique and fascinating scores of 2023, and there are several moments which stand out. But this - this final, brief, brightly coloured gem of a scene - is the main highlight. Possibly the most satisfying film ending of the year, both in terms of plot, but also music. So much has built to this, and composer Jerskin Fendrix lets loose with a grand, exuberant statement of the main theme, crowning Bella's achievements and ending the film with a flourish.
Starring Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe, Ramy Youssef, Mark Ruffalo, Kathryn Hunter, Vicki Pepperdine, Margaret Qualley and Christopher Abbott. Screenplay by Tony McNamara, based on the novel by Alasdair Gray. Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, with an original score by film scoring newcomer Jerskin Fendrix.
