Logic gates are the basic building blocks of a digital system. The logic gates perform the basic boolean operations: AND, OR, NOT. A truth table is associated with each logic gate that describes the function of the gate.

Overview of Boolean Algebra :    • Boolean Algebra | (Simple introduction)

This video covers a simple description about the hybrid logic gates - The XOR gate, The XNOR Gate.

Overview of Basic Logic Gates:    • Basic Logic Gates | AND | OR | NOT

Overview of Universal Logic Gates:    • Universal Logic Gates | NAND | NOR

The XOR gate performs exclusive disjunction of inputs. The XOR gate output is high only when
its inputs are at different logic levels.

The boolean expression for XOR gate is represented with a plus sign within a circle as Q = A⊕B

The analytical representation if XOR gate is written as f(a,b) = a + b - 2ab

The XNOR gate function is just the reverse of an XOR gate. The XNOR gate output is high when all of its inputs are at the same logic levels.

The XNOR gate is also termed as an Equivalence Gate.

The boolean expression for XNOR gate is represented with a dot within a circle as Q = A⊙B

Digital True is denoted by a logical '1' and digital false is denoted by a logical '0'.

Kindly check the whole video for simple explanation about these topics on XOR and XNOR logic gates.
