i, quagmire toilet gaming, youtube meme page, would like to introspect on your own positition in today's social landscape
i really do think that loneliness is going to rise a lot in this age, and it sucks fr becuase i really think that there is no immediate fix for this generation at least.. apart from the amount of people who are comfortable using dating apps and the like, i think it is hard to find spaces that encourage the formation of social bonds,and it think that is leading a lot of people, who might even be otherwise socialable, away from dating, making new friends, etc, because 'why put in all the effort?'
i think that people also have more sheilds up around them nowadays as well, so i think that outside of places like school or something, if you try to make actual friends with people at work or just of the cuff, i feel like people would go from being neutral about your existence to actively thinking you are weird.. sad i think but generally understandable i suppose
me personally, since you asked so nicely, i really dont know about me being alone forever, but i can tell you that i cannot imagine myself in a relationship lol [i swear thats not the same thing, for some reason i cant really articulate], even outside of relationships, its hard to imagine having a set of 'ride or die' friends that will be around for a reasonably long strectch of time, and its not the fault of anyone really, people just naturally grow apart due to life, especially in times of great and fast change
i do definetly feel the sorta monotonous pain of growing a social circle, especially from nothing, becuase yeah ive definitely given up on people (general form) due to the pain, not of rejection, but of socialization itself, and the slightly terrifying human problem of asking people to hang out
or just feeling like a complete waste of human because u want anyone to percieve your existence but you do not want to impose at all, so you are both scared of being invisible and perviecable at the same time:: dont even try to pretend that this isnt a common experience guys im not weird
so yeah i cant see myself being to social in the far future, and right now, i, kinda dont really mind, and feel like more and people are learning to be 'comfortable' (i guess) alone, and idk just thinking about that scares me a bit i guess:: i defintely flipflop quite a bit on if i care about 'being alone 4ever', but right now i dont care and im scared im gonna be in state more often (does this make sense to anyone?)
idk maybe this was always something people dealt with and the influx of content discussing this is simply a result of a generation reaching an age where this issue was more apparent to a large proportion of them i really dont know (prolly not tbh maybe)
