Unturned 3.0 update was recently released on Steam as a public beta test branch. There is a tutorial on how to play it/make a server further in the description. There was also a map editor added that will be used with the Steam Workshop integration in the future. This video serves as a guide on How to use the Unturned Map Editor.
Unturned is a free game that was released on Steam under Early Access for both PC and Mac. The main motive of Unturned is to survive against the zombies. You can collect loot, craft, and also build bases in the game. Currently there is just multiplayer in the game, but you can make your own private server.
