Today in this video you will learn how to fix defaultwebpage.cgi error in domain via WHM.
Sometimes when you create or move cPanel account from one server to another or if you change the IP address of the website , you or your clients may experience redirect to default cgi-sys apache as following
yourdomain.com/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi
Let me tell you that this type of issue generally comes due to DNS related problems in your domain. In such cases try waiting for a couple of hours and clearing your browser cache can also fix the issue but not everytime. You can try clearing your browser cache but if it didn't fixed the problem proceed ahead.
So first of all you need to find the exact issue in your website and find if there any DNS related issue with the website. Begin by opening your Browser and go to intodns.com and search for your domain name in the search box.
If you find some error in intodns.com then follow the steps given below:
Step::1 Login to cPanel/WHM
Step::2 Go to DNS Function and then Edit DNS Zone
Step::3 Make appropriate changes related to DNS Records and click on Save
That's it!!!
If the domain Name DNS and Nameserver are resolved then the site should work properly and not redirect to /cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi
