MS Word Tutorial: Inline images not showing in Microsoft Word 2016
Sometimes, when you paste an image into text, it doesn't show properly.
This can occur especially when you are modifying someone else's document, such as an IEEE template.
In this case, we can see that the bottom of the figure is showing, but the main image is hidden behind the text.
This occurs even though the image is set to be an inline figure
The likely fix for this is simple but not intuitive.
Go to Home tab and click on the box and arrow icon at the lower right side of the Paragraph group. This will open the Paragraph dialog box.
On the indents and spacing tab, go to the Line spacing option. If it says "Exactly" and there is a value in the "At" box to the right, this is your problem.
Change the Line spacing option to "At least" and click "OK."
This should fix the problem.
