Long slow motion test clips including skin tones, sunset, and a puppy in a coat.
For this study I wanted to just let some slow motion clips run so I could mainly focus in on playing with all the incredible colors you get at sunset. This was also all backlit so it was a good opportunity to see what kind of dynamic range I could get out of this camera while keeping things feeling organic. It also gave me the challenge of bringing out the colors of the sunset without oversaturating those brown and orange tones in the skin (and Theodore's fur.)
Let me know if you have any questions in the comments but as a conversation starter I'm sure you'd like to know that I actually used a Panasonic V-Log V3 conversion LUT to get the base layer of my grade going. Obviously had to grade it by hand from there but I was surprised that it produced a lot of tones I liked in the Sony S-LOG 3 footage.
