It's a pretty straightforward installation, but it can confuse you if you don't know what you are doing. So, I am here to educate you! INTRO
Hello guys! AMarkInTheDark here. Today I will be showing you guys how to install reshade for Roblox. I have done this video before on my second channel, but I have decided to redo the video. In this video, I will be going over how to Get The Main files, Installing Reshade, Install the Addons, installing the .ini presets for Roblox, and lastly, how to open up the reshade overlay. Without any more delay, let’s get started.
Getting The Main Files
First, open up your desired browser. Then, head over to https://reshade.me/. When you are there, click the purple “download” button. It will take you down to another button. This time the button is green, and it should say “Download Reshade 4.9.1”. Click the green button. After clicking the button, a download should start. The file will be stored in your “Downloads” folder.
Installing Reshade
Now with the setup downloaded, double click Reshade_Setup.exe.
Then a new window will pop up asking you what game you will be installing for.
Sadly, the installer will not detect Roblox.
That being said, you will have to find where Roblox is installed.
To quickly find out where your Roblox is installed, you can go to your search bar in Windows and type “Roblox.”
Then, an application called “Roblox Player” should pop up.
Then right-click the application then click “open file location.”
Do the same process again by right-clicking “Roblox Player” and click open file location.
When you are in the install directory for Roblox, you should keep note that you are installing reshade for “RobloxPlayerLauncher.exe.”
Now where the address bar is located, click it.
You will be able to copy and paste it into the reshade installation.
After selecting the desired application, you will prompt you to choose a specific rendering API. For Roblox, you are going to click OpenGL.
After clicking the file, a new window will pop up asking you which addons you want to install.
For this video, I will be installing every single one.
After selecting the desired effects, it will take a moment to download and install the addons. After this procedure, you are good to exit the Reshade setup.
How to Install Addons
This part of the video is optional. But, if you decide that you want to install more addons for Reshade, you can install addons very simply by dragging and dropping the Shaders and the Texture folders into the Reshade-master folder. If you get a message prompting you to replace something, confirm the replacement.
Installing presets for Roblox.
To install custom presets for Reshade, all you have to do is drag and drop the .ini preset file where the “RobloxPlayerLauncher.exe” is. After dropping it, you should see the preset when you have the Reshade menu open.
How To Open Up The Reshade Overlay
When you are in-game, all you have to do is press the “home” button. When prompted, a menu will pop up asking you if you want the start the tutorial or skip it. And that is it. You have installed Reshade correctly for Roblox. Thank you for watching, and have a great day.
