Sometimes you just need to access a Graphical User Interface to Linux to do your work! In those cases you have a few options. Partition your machine which works great but consumes disk space. Use Virtual Box or Parallels desktop which are slow and a pain in the butt to configure. Or you can have your remote instance in the AWS cloud and connect through Windows Remote Desktop.
Try to choose an instance on your own region for faster connectivity.
