Install OpenVPN on Centos
Installation of OpenVPN server can be done by means of an automaticly script running on the Centos Stream 9 server.
OpenVPN is given a client an opportunity to establish a secure wifi tunnel connection to an server with an OpenVPN server installed . All url and file access is routed through this secure tunnel to the server. No web traffic is taking place directly to the present local wifi connection.
After the OpenVPN server is installed, it also required that the client computer run an OpenVPN client GUI. The server has created a client setup file (a .ovpn file) that has to be imported to the client computer in order to make connection to the server. In Windows PCs the OpenVPN client GUI has to start in administrator mode in order to work. After that an VPN icon at the tool bar can be used to import and start the connection.
Before the client OpenVPN software can start other VPN connections at the client computer have to be disabled. Only one VPN client connection at a time is possible.
