Chime bank scammed me. How not to fall victim to this scam. Account locked for unusual activity scam
Do not use Chime bank. Chime is one of the worst fintech online banks / online savings accounts. It has the most complaints, one of the worst BBB ratings with some serious issues concerning access to funds, lawsuits and a variety of issues.
Chime bank scam.
Chime locked my account then did a verification scam asking for my drivers license. They ask for the drivers license image over and over and no image will ever be good enough or acceptable to Chime because all they want is an plausible excuse to lock the account for long periods of time and make money on your money while you have no access to it.
They then have an excuse to tell the regulators the reason for locking the account is because the user did not upload a legible drivers license. This is my opinion to what they are doing with people.

This type of account locking is widespread and apparently routine with Chime. Locking accounts for unusual activity is what they call it. Yet, no matter how much proof you provide, they fail to unlock the account.
The way to handle this is to file complaints with the various agencies such as the state attorney general, CFPB, Better Business Bureau and the Federal Reserve. There is also an attorney that specializes in dealing with Chime fraud and scams.
