Best Money Market Account Vanguard, Schwab, iShares over 19 compared SWVXX, VMFXX, TFLO, FLOT
IWhat us the vest money market accounr? I compared 19 high yield money market accounts to find the best one with the highest interest. Which high yield money market account is best? I look at Vanguard, Fidelity, iShares, Schwab and SPDR. I compared both mutual fund money market accounts as well as money market ETFs.
One I really like for the ETF money market account options is iShares TFLO and iShares FLOT. Both of these offer some of the highest yields out there, even higher than high yield savings accounts.
Vanguard VMFXX is one of my favorite money market mutual funds but Charles Schwab SNOXX and SWVXX are also favorites.
For money market ETFs, iShares is the front runner with TFLO and FLOT. SGOV is also very stable but not as well performing.
For Fidelity both SPAXX and FZFXX perform nearly identically. The performance is not quite as good as the top performers but when combined with the feature rich offering from Fidelity with checkwriting, bill pay and sweep account integration it is competitive and time saving.
Having the ability to have dividend payments and stock sale proceeds automatically go to the high interest sweep accounts from Fidelity and Vanguard is a very nice feature.
I compared the 7 day yield, 30 day yield as well as the 1 year price performance to find a money market account that offers a high yield while having a stable and predictable NAV or stock price. Can an ETF make for a good money market account?
