Cinema 4D Mograph Tutorial - Overgrowth Transition Effect & Rendering HD

In this Cinema 4D tutorial we’ll create a fully dynamic material transition effect with one material growing onto the other. In order to create the effect we’ll use Mograph cloners, shader and plain effectors, and build a custom expression to control the entire set up with a single Null object. We’ll take a look at how to set up 3D linear gradient controller using Xpresso and how to plug these controller into our system. With the power of Cinema 4D all the elements in our scene remain fully parametric and the entire process is nonlinear, which means we can tweak and change any parameters at any stage of the effect development.

In the second part of the tutorial there will be a quick overview of shading process in which we’ll take a look at new reflectance tab introduced in cinema 4D R16 and see how the new fresnel models can help us achieve the desired look.
